Weidong Le, MD, PhD, is a senior neurologist/neuroscientist specialized in neurodgenerative diseases. He received postdoctoral training in Baylor College of Medicine in 1989, promoted to Professor in 2006. Since 2013, he has been working in Chinese Academy of Science SCIBS as a Professor/Director of Neurogenomic Lab, and Dalian Medical University as a Professor and Director of Neurology Institute. Dr. Le has published over 350 SCI papers in peer review journals (including Nature, Sciences, JAMA, Lancet Neurology, Brain, Autophagy and Alzheimer’s Dementia) with a citation over 38,000 with H-index 87. He is one of the top 5 mostly cited neuroscientist/neurologist in China. He has been awarded 30 research grants including 3 NIH R0-1 awards. He is the Chief Editor for Ageing and Neurodegenerative Diseases, Associate Editor for Neuroscience Bulletin, J. Alzheimer’s Disease, J Neurochemistry, section editor for Brain Research Bulletin, and editorial board member for Autophagy, and Alzheimer’s Dementia.
